Getting to Daejeon
After arriving at Incheon International Airport (ICN), you can take one of the following options to reach Daejeon:
Routes, timetables, fares, and ticket availability may change. Before traveling, please check the Incheon International Airport public transportation guide and the KORAIL official booking website.
- KTX Train: Take the Airport Railroad Express (AREX) from Incheon Airport to Seoul Station, then transfer to a KTX train to Daejeon Station (Seodaejeon Station for some trains). The total travel time is approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.
- Express Bus: Direct express buses operate from Incheon Airport to Daejeon. Daejeon Government Complex (대전청사) is the recommended stop. The travel time is approximately 3 to 4 hours, depending on traffic conditions. Please confirm the current timetable and boarding terminal before traveling.
Getting to DCC
- Taxi: Anywhere in Daejeon, you can take a taxi to DCC. Depending on your starting location, the fare is usually between 5,000 and 15,000 KRW. Kakao Taxi is a popular app for hailing taxis in South Korea, and Uber can also be used to call regular taxis. If a taxi driver has difficulty finding the venue, show the Korean name: 대전컨벤션센터.
- Public Transportation: Daejeon has one subway line (Line 1) and several bus routes. A reloadable T-money card can be used on subways and buses and recharged at convenience stores or station kiosks. A single ride is typically around 1,300 to 1,700 KRW; transfers made with T-money within 30 minutes are generally free. Please verify current fares, transfer rules, and routes using the official Daejeon bus guide or a current transit app.
- From Daejeon Station: Take Bus No. 707 to DCC (approximately 1 hour), or take the subway to Government Complex Daejeon Station and transfer to Bus No. 618 (approximately 40 minutes).
- From Daejeon Government Complex (대전청사): Take Bus No. 911 or 618 to DCC (approximately 20 minutes).
